At rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his daughters Lois (Edward) Wolff and Nancy (Jerry) Vander Woude; son John (Kathy) Gerl; one brother Tony (Irene) Gerl; dearest friends Charlie Mozina, Vernie Williams and Dr. R. Patel. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife Angie; siblings Julie, Jean and Rudy. Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in WWII. Member of the Old Timers Baseball Association and Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church in Rockdale. Lud was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed life with his family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice in Lud"s name would be appreciated.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Rockdale on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 10:00AM. Private entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
