Lucille “Lue” Annette Hickman (Kucinic)
Lucille “Lue” Annette Hickman of Joliet, passed away at the age of 79 surrounded by family, on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. Lucille was born on July 8, 1945, the daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (nee Svetlecic) Kucinic.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Howard J. Hickman, her children, Sherri (Andy) Janz, Juli (Frank) Dragisic, Jill (Thomas) Bellos and Brian (Natalie) Hickman; grandchildren Rodrick (Cara) Janz, Marissa Janz (David Acevedo), Ryan Dragisic, Amanda Dragisic, Hazel Hickman, and Bea Hickman; On August 14th, 2023 Lucille was so excited to be blessed with great granddaughter Rio Janz-Acevedo; brother William (Pat) Kucinic, her sister-in-law Carolyn (the late Bart) Kucinic, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Matthew and Mary Kucinic, and her brothers Bart Kucinic and Thomas “GUT” Kucinic.
Lucille will always be remembered for her faith, love of family, and kindness.
Funeral services for Lucille A. Hickman will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N Broadway St. Joliet, IL. There will be a public visitation at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Interment at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery, Caton Farm Rd. and Oakland Ave. in Crest Hill, IL will occur immediately after Mass.
In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial contributions to Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet where Lucille was shown such love and compassion by every single staff member until the day she went to be with the Lord.
