Lucille M. Jevitz Age 90

At rest November 14, 2009 at the Inn at Willow Falls. Survived by her cousin, Lucille (Joseph, deceased) Clermont, nieces and nephews Marcille (David) Sandahl, Lorraine McDonald, Dorothy ( Reno) Sartori, John D. (Kay) Jevitz, Jeri (Stu) Christenson, and Gene ( Donna) Jevitz. Also survived by a large extended family and numerous friends. Preceded by her parents John J. and Celia (nee Hren) Jevitz, her brother John L. (Lottie) Jevitz, and sisters Gussie (Frank) Russ, Ceil (Louie) Skul, and Elizabeth (Anton) Pasdertz. Lucille graduated from St. Joseph Catholic Grade School, Joliet Junior College, Illinois State University and the University of Illinois in Champaign with a Master"s Degree in Education. She taught locally at Chaney-Monge Grade School, Lockport East High School, and John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights. Following her retirement Lucille did private tutoring in Arlington Heights and the Joliet area. Lucille"s family would like to extend special thanks to her caregiver Gene Paradnyte and the staffs of the Inn at Willow Falls and Joliet Area Community Hospice. Life-long member of St. Joseph Church, Joliet and also a member of Joliet Area Retired Teachers Association. Memorial contributions to St. Joseph School Fund, Joliet Area Community Hospice, and Joliet Junior College Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.

A visitation for Lucille will held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 beginning at 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 416 N. Chicago Street. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. No services at the funeral home.
