Louise E. Newbury

Louise E. Newbury "Weezer" (nee Raddatz), age 68, at rest on Saturday, February 14, 2015 Valentine's Day with her loving family and her best friend of 50 years by her side.

Louise is survived by her husband, John Newbury; children, Susan (James) Knapp, Rachel (Jodi) Kruk, Amanda Kruk and Anne Kruk; grandchildren Cydney, Jordyn, Ryley, and Kerrigyn Knapp, and Freddy "Oogies" Kruk; sister-in-law, Connie (the late Terry) Raddatz; and nephew, Bill Raddatz.

Preceded in death by her parents, William "PeePaw" and Mary "DeDe"(nee Ooley) Raddatz; and one brother, Terry Raddatz; and niece, Krystina Raddatz.

Louise was born and raised in Joliet, IL. She was proud to be a majorette at Joliet Central High School. Growing up Louise had a strong fondness for the outdoors. She loved nature, animals, fishing and camping. Her connection to the outdoors continued with her for her entire life as she became a longtime member of the Wilmington Recreation Club. Her passion for the performing arts began with her children as they all became involved in dance and competitions for many years. That love inspired even her grandchildren to carry on her legacy. Louise was a general manager and business owner in the financial institution sector. Louise always lived for her children and grandchildren who will miss their Mom, MayMay and Mammy dearly.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Joliet Area Community Hospice for the wonderful care provided to mom.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise's name to the no kill animal rescue of your choice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Louise's life will begin on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 with a service to be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL from 3-8 p.m.
