Entered into rest on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
Survived by his loving wife of 29 years Linda; father of Tammy (Frank) Rosa of Bradenton, FL; grandfather of Jagger Rosa; three sisters, Rose (Frank) Stoiber, Kay (Raymond) Glad, Ann (Ralph) Blinstrup. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, numerous other family members, close friends, and wonderful neighbors.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn (nee Serdar) Pavich; sister, Mary (Glenn) Gibson; brother, George (Bunny) Pavich; and an infant sister.
Lou was born in Joliet and resided in the Joliet and Crest Hill area throughout his lifetime. He graduated from the Joliet Area Schools. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after 34 years of service and then worked for the City of Joliet part-time. Member of the Loyal Order of Moose #300 Legion Degree, Seniors Club and Old Timers Baseball Association. Avid sports fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs and White Sox. Lou was very proud of all of his wife's accomplishments notably getting her College Regents Degree and being the recipient of the Red Stole. He brought so much happiness to everyone he knew. Greatly enjoyed the entertainment and picnics at the Moose; going to parties, dancing, and the 'Potlucks' at Faith Lutheran Church.
Our Lou will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. The twinkle in his eye, smile on his face and kindness in his heart will be remembered forever.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family.
A chapel service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 10 AM. Father Chris will be officiating. Interment will at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-8 PM.
