Born on July 21, 1922 and passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Survived by wife of 64 years Bernadine (nee Kramerich); sister Theresa (Elmer) Pagnusat; children Louie (Terri), Paul (Pam), Thomas (Dianna) Maffeo & Vera Holden; grandchildren Lisa (Todd) Wambsganss, Laura (Kevin) Podman, Louie (Dawn), Daniel, Alicia, Tommy (Molly) Maffeo, Scott McCauley, Brian Earl, Kellie (Ramon) Rodriquez, Dr. Carrie Maffeo & Uriah Eddenfield, Tony (Angela), Kattie Maffeo, Michael B. (April) Williams Sr.; great-grandchildren Kayli, Katrina & Anthony Glidic; Isabella Maffeo; Dylan & Nathan Wambsganss; Madalyn, Lucas & Lauren Podman; Julia & Joey Maffeo; Olivia, Sophia, & Daniel Rodriquez; Andrew Eddenfield; Michael Jr., Alysa, Paige & Peyton Williams. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Maria (nee Comolio) Maffeo. Owner of Richland Mower Sales and Service and Retired from Texaco after 33 years of service. Served in the United States Army during World War II.
From where services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 9:30 AM to St. Ambrose for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
