Lottie Loretta Franckowiak (nee Kocanda), age 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 12, 2020.
Lottie is survived by her four daughters, Danette (Joseph) Gotch, Donna (late John) Bolisenga, Dorlan Wendling, and Darice Smith; her daughter-in-law Pam Franckowiak; one brother Robert (Chris) Kocanda; her grandchildren, Tina, Dennis, Dawn, Dione, Dinene, Christina, Joe Jr., Kelly, Johnathan, Jared, James, Jake, and Jordan; her thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Franckowiak; her parents Anna and Fabian Kocanda; sons, Daryl, Dennis, and Derrick; her sister Angeline James; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Gotch.
Lottie was most known for being a very devout Catholic who enjoyed the practice of prayer. In her spare time Lottie enjoyed playing cards, going to Four Winds Casino, and playing Bingo. She was also very fond of traveling. She had visited many wonderful corners of the world including, Ireland, Poland, Cancun, and many destinations across the United States.
A drive-up visitation will take place at Tezak Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we do ask all visitors to remain in their cars during the drive-up visitation and to pay their respects from a short distance. Lottie will be laid to rest with her husband Walter at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery privately.
