Lorraine R. Brozman (nee Evans)

October 30, 1920 — December 19, 2007

Age 87, at rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home with her family by her side.

Born on October 30, 1920, a lifelong Rockdale resident, she married her childhood sweetheart Paul T. Brozman on June 19, 1943. Paul and Lorraine owned and operated Brozman"s Tavern for more than 40 years. Lorraine was well known for her homemade lunchtime meals. Lorraine was also renowned for her beautiful handmade doilies which have been shipped around the world. Lorraine loved the holidays especially Halloween when her family would gather for her birthday celebration. Her family and friends will always remember Lorraine for he quick smile and heartwarming laugh. Her grandchildren will remember the best-ever lap for reading stories.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul (1984), her parents Edwin and Martha (nee Gretz) Evans, one sister Norine Gollick.

Survived by four children Thomas (Ann) Brozman, Cheryl (Thomas deceased) Wynne, David (Deborah) Brozman, Mary Beth (George) Perros. One sister Betty (Armell) Landry of Gault, California, nine grandchildren Amie (Craig) Englert, Jennifer (Bryan) Buss, Jeffrey (Aura) Wynne, Daniel (Melanie) Brozman, Alison (Brian Lessner), Matthew and Michael Brozman, Lauren Brozman, and Timothy Perros. Also survived by ten precious great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as GG for great-grandmother. Surviving also are numerous nieces and nephews and longtime friends and neighbors.

Lorraine"s family would like to thank the caring staff of 5th Avenue of Sunny Hill Nursing Home and the tender care of Joliet Area Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sunny Hill Nursing Home or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

Tezak"s Home to Celebrate Life

From where services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church in Rockdale for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday 2-8 PM.
