Lorie Jean Hubert

Lorie Jean Hubert (nee’ Lichtenwalter)

Age 70 of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at home with her family by her side.

Born March 25, 1952 in Joliet, Lorie Jean was the daughter of Roger and Betty Lou (Burson) Lichtenwalter. She was raised and educated in the Joliet area and graduated from Lincoln Way High School with the class of 1970. Lorie went on to work in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Even when she was not at work, she was always helping others. Lorie was a cancer survivor of thirty years and in times of sickness would never let that slow her down. She enjoyed taking walks and getting together with her mall walker friends. Lorie absolutely adored her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lorie is survived by her husband of 42 years: Don Hubert; daughter: Denise (Mike) George; grandchildren: Tyler, Dylan and Abby George, and her brother: David Lichtenwalter.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Betty Lou.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. The funeral will then drive in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Joliet for a graveside service where Lorie will be laid to rest.
