Loretta M. (Prock) Waite

Loretta M. Waite (nee Prock), age 96, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 with her loving family by her side.

Loretta is survived by her loving children, Lynn (Ronald) Pilon, Patricia (Alfred) Fox, Deborah (Craig) Seasly, Richard (Babs) Waite, and Edward Waite; 15 cherished grandchildren; 22 cherished great-grandchildren; dear sister, Leona (the late William) Fredericks of Missoula, MT; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Waite (1985); sons in infancy Donald and David; parents, Frank and Theresa (nee Subka) Prock; brothers, George, and Francis; sisters, Agnes, Elenore, and Berniel.

Loretta was a member of senior bowling leagues in the Joliet area for 25 years. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed baking and babysitting. She always enjoyed a good breakfast with her family and friends. Loretta was a woman of faith and had a strong devotion to the rosary and the chaplet of divine mercy. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Joliet and a more recent parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Loretta’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Loretta’s life will begin on Saturday, February 27, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Jude Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be Friday, February 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
