Loretta S. Adamic (nee Schwab), age 81, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 2, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
Loretta is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, John E. Adamic; loving children, Jack (Anna) Adamic, Kathleen (Tony) Costa, and Mary Adamic; cherished grandchildren, Erin Foat, John Adamic, Anthony and Christopher Costa; dearest great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brooklynn Foat; brother, Robert Schwab; sister, Margaret Kalamon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Partilla) Schwab; brother, Joseph Schwab.
Loretta attended Joliet Township High School and graduated in the class of 1950 of which she was elected the Blue Band Sponsor. Loretta loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She played many roles in her family, the most important ones being a wife and mother.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Presence St. Joseph Hospital.
A Celebration of Loretta's life will begin on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. Visitation will be on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL.
