Linnea Victoria Johnson
April 18, 1912 to February 26, 2012. Linnea was a cherished wife, mother and friend. Survived by her children Marilyn Durham, William (Carol) Johnson, Thomas (Diana) Johnson, and Sally (Richard) Dow. Grandchildren Thomas (Lillian) Durham, Eric Johnson, Jill (Brian) Steege, Anne (Lyle) Pierce, Mark (Jenny) Johnson, and Heidi (Scott) Jacques, 11 great grandchildren and one sister Jeanette (John) Bjorkman. Preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Lester H. Johnson. A grandson Torrey Brown, great granddaughter Ella Pierce, and brothers LeRoy, Lawrence, and George Johnson. Linnea graduated from Joliet Township High School and attended Silver Cross School of Nursing. She used her nursing background raising her family as well as working at Salem Home and Our Lady of Angles Retirement Homes. She was a lifelong active member of the Lockport Covenant Church. Linnea was an avid baker and a talented seamstress producing fine clothing and hand braided rugs for her family and friends throughout her lifetime.
A celebration of LinneaA�??s life will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:00am at the funeral home. With interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Services entrusted to:
