Lilowti "Leela" Puran Williams

Lilowti Puran Williams "Leela", age 64, went home to the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2015 with her loving family by her side.
Leela is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Rev. Gordon Williams; loving children, Nadira, Montague, and Sherieka; seven cherished grandchildren, Avery, Malachi, David, Jayden, Matthew, Brianna, and Jasmine; dear siblings, Bissoondyal, Deopaul, Kalouti, Parmanand, and Tarawattie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving son, Mark; dear siblings, Savitri, Jasodra, Ramkissoon, and Sahodra.
Leela worked as a nurse for over 45 years, enjoying 15 of those years at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Leela's main joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and adoring wife, mother, and grandmother.
A Celebration of Leela's life will begin on Saturday, April 4, 2015 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Per Leela's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
