Lillian J. Adamic (nee Potochnic), age 90 entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Mom loved working at Al Baskin and later Mark Shale. She cooked short order in her kitchen and always had a plate ready for anyone who wandered by. In her later years, she passed time knitting scarves for family and friends. Lillian was a techie, doing email, playing Words with Friends, and talking on Skype.
Lillian is survived by her children, Henry Jr. (Linda), James (Ann), Ellen Mattox, David, Douglas (Julie); brothers, William, John, James, and Richard Potochnic; sister, Diane (Ken) Derrickson; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna (nee Kuzmijak) Potochnic; husband, Henry; son, Gerald; brothers, Robert and Daniel Potochnic; and sister, Albina (William) Mengo.
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will begin on Saturday, October 8, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
