Lewis Meyers

Lewis Meyers, Age 89, entered eternal life on Monday, March 31, 2014.
Lewis is survived by his beloved daughter, Nancy Lou Meyers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law MaryAnn (Joseph) Pluth (nee Horvat), Dorothy (the late Joseph) Lakotich, Delores (the late Leonard) Suhadolc, Theresa (Nicholas) Rousonelos, Robert (Joanne) Horvat, and Raymond (Gladys) Horvat. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rose (nee Horvat); parents; sister, Rose Fonseca; and nephew, Alex Fonseca.
Lewis was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He retired from U.S. Steel in 1984. Lewis was a loving and devoted family man and will be missed by all those who knew him.

A Celebration of Lewis' life will begin on Saturday, April 5, 2014 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Nativity Catholic Church in Joliet. Inurnment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Per Lewis' wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home.
