Lawrence G. Wicevic

May 7, 1926 – February 29, 2020

Larry passed away peacefully on February 29, 2020 in Gilbert, Arizona. He was born on Center Street in Crest Hill to Rose and Lawrence Wicevic and was greeted by four sisters, Vera, Josephine, Matilda and Marie.

He was predeceased by his wife Congetta (Lazzaro), parents and four sisters. Larry is survived by his children, Lauren, Russell (Pat), Nancy, Catherine (Rick) Marie, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Grace Fazio and lifelong friend, Robert Churnovic.

Larry retired from the Joliet Public Grade Schools and spent his retirement years with family and friends.  He enjoyed good food, especially potica.

He will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, faithful friend and fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Missing you now and forever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle in Crest Hill. Interment will follow and Larry will be laid to rest at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Crest Hill.
