Age 72. Passed away at his home following a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. Larry was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident, and a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. Larry was the owner of Prodehl Plumbing & Heating for many years. He was a long time member of the South Wilmington SportsmanA�??s Club. Larry was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, and trap shooting. Along with his sonsA�??, Larry made many fishing trips to Canada. He was a proud member of the N.R.A. and the Happy Hooker Bass Club.

Preceded in death by his parents; Lawrence and Lucy Prodehl, a brother, Ken Prodehl, and a step-son, Frank Rury.

Survived by his devoted and loving wife, Rachelle (nee Gerl); 4 sons, Edward, Jeff (Jayne), Russ, and Matt Prodehl; 3 step-daughters, Jayme Rury, Racheal (Jon) Todd, and Rebecca (Dave) Burlingame; dearest grandfather to 14 grandchildren; a brother, Edward A�??EdA�?i�� (Sandy) Prodehl, and a sister-in-law, Sandy (late Ken) Prodehl. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Contributions to the Joliet Area Community Hospice in his name would be appreciated.

Funeral services for Larry Prodehl will be held on Thursday February 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
