LaVerne M. (Guardia) Confiliano-Lisdero

LaVerne M. Confiliano-Lisdero (nee Guardia), age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 with her loving family close by her side.

LaVerne is survived by her children, Don (Mary Lynn) Confiliano, Carol (Joseph) Ward and Jim Confiliano; step-children, Lu (Barry) Gordon, Judy (Swede) Lindstrom and Raspin Stuwart; 15 grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 2 on the way; brother, Carl “Joseph” Guardia; son-in-law, David (the late Joan) Morse; Lynn Confiliano; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and devoted caregiver, Roza.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Confiliano; her second husband, Frank Lisdero; parents, Carl and Elizabeth (nee Smith) Guardia; daughter, Joan Morse; step-children, Paulette Boehner and Mary Fran Lisdero.

LaVerne was born in Coal City, IL and resided in Joliet her entire life. LaVerne loved spending time with her family. She greatly enjoyed dancing, traveling and gardening. LaVerne was a lifelong parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill and a devout Catholic. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in LaVerne’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of LaVerne’s life will begin on Monday, May 15, 2017 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
