Kristen Marie DeLaFuente, age 28, passed away October 11, 2012. Survived by her loving mother Marisol McGee and stepfather James McGee; grandparents Roberto and Celia DeLaFuente and James and Fran McGee, Sr.; aunts and uncles Robert (Lori) DeLaFuente, Rafael (Kelly) DeLaFuente, Deborah (Michael) Ellison, Gina (Bill) Waldon, favorite uncle Rogelio DeLaFuente and uncle and best friend Roel DeLaFuente; first cousins James, Meghan, Jackie, Jessica, Danielle, Ryan, Marie, Rayed, Grace, Reid and Genaro; her loving kidney donor Angela Thomas and her cats Riley and Bagby.
She was preceded in death by her older cousin Robert Lee A�??BobbyA�?i�� DeLaFuente.
Kristen taught dance from ballet to ballroom and everything in between; she loved the art of dance, specifically the samba. She cared for cats Riley and Bagby. Along with dance, she composed poetry and fictional literature with her uncle. She enjoyed spending time and laughing with family and close friends. Listening to music, literature and European futbol was also a passion.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the ASPCA or the National Kidney Foundation.
A Celebration of KristenA�??s life will begin on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a service at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
