Kim D. (Irwin) Riley

Kimberly D. Riley “Kim” (nee Irwin), age 44, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Joliet Area Community Hospice, with her loving husband by her side.

Kim is survived by her husband, Christopher Riley; children, Noah and Zach Riley; parents, John and Millie Irwin; siblings, Michelle (Darin) Stephenson and Kristin (Michael) Marchese; mother-in-law, Linda Riley; brother-in-law, Randy (Beth) Riley; sister-in-law, Vicki (Craig) Voss; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Jared Stephenson, Marissa, Brittany, Gina Marchese, Paige Carroll, Roman and Rex Riley, Morgan and Taylor Voss; and dogs, Lacey and Missy.

Preceded in death by her father-in-law, Michael A. Riley.

Kim was born in New Lenox, Illinois and attended Lincoln Way Central High School. Kim was an avid musician. She later went on to attend Capri Beauty College and dedicated over 20 years of her life as an instructor for the college. Kim married the love of her life and her high school sweetheart. She and Chris had two amazing children together. She was a devoted mother, and loved watching her boys play baseball. Kim was a member of New Life Church. She enjoyed traveling, water skiing and the outdoors. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and putting others needs before her own. Kim will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kim’s name may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice or to her children’s education.

A celebration of Kim’s life will begin on Friday, November, 17, 2017 with a service at New Life Church (500 S. Gougar Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Tezak Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL.) Per Kim’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
