It is with true sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth M. Zagoda, loving son of Donald and Margaret "Peg" (nee Sporar) Zagoda. Ken was born April 22, 1964 in Joliet, IL and passed away on January 6, 2024. He was a resident of Frankfort for 50 years until recently moving to New Lenox.
Ken was a proud employee of McDonald's for over 30 years, was always helpful and glad to see customers, many became his friends.
He was one of the original participants in the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association, enjoying golf, bowling, baseball and the many outings and social events it provided. KEN LIKED TO DANCE and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Ken is preceded in death by grandparents, Matt and Mary Zagoda and Matt and Kaye Sporar.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Janice (Justin) Williams, brother, John (Maytee) Zagoda, nephews, Matthew Shunk and Luke Zagoda and niece, Madeline Zagoda. Uncles, Tom (Jan) Sporar, Fred (Carol) Sporar and Matt Sporar, as well as many cousins, extended family and friends also survive him.
Ken was a truly kind and gentle soul. He was one of the happiest people one could ever have the opportunity to know.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A memorial Mass and celebration of "a life well lived" is set to begin shortly after at 11:00 am at St Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL.
