Kay F. Zigrossi (nee Hoffmann), age 82, passed into Eternal Life on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Joliet Area Community Hospice, surrounded by loving family.
Kay is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Nick; four children, Michael (Sandra Spivey) Zigrossi, Susan (Ronald) Orsini of Naperville, Timothy Zigrossi, and Terrence (Ann Jeriha) Zigrossi; one sister, Judy (nee Hoffmann) Ferguson; and numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Dorothy (nee Doubleday) Hoffmann.
Proud JTHS graduate class of 1951. A homemaker for most of her life, she also worked at JTHS Central as a part-time secretary. Kay will be missed by her friends from the JT Central retired secretaries lunch group, her Harrah's acquaintances, and her fellow polka enthusiasts on Sunday nights at the Croatian Cultural Club. Kay will be remembered as an avid Chicago Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan.
The family conveys immense gratitude to her professional healthcare team: Dr. Gary Trager, Dr. Daniele De Girolami, Dr. Teresa Kravets, Dr. Grazyna Piekos, and Dr. John Pollack; also Dr. Lynn McDonald MD and Julie Bialas, MSN from Presence Health Palliative Medicine; and deep appreciation for the caring, compassionate staff at Joliet Area Community Hospice.
