Kathryn "Katie" Orlovich, age 91, died early Wednesday morning from natural causes.
Mrs. Orlovich is survived by her two sons, Fred (Karen) Orlovich, of Raleigh, NC and Charles (Patricia) Orlovich, of Morris, IL; grandchildren, Jason, Adam (Ashley), and Daniel Orlovich, Chad (Ashley), Jeremy (Heidi), and Josh Orlovich; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Hailey and Payton.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fritz "Ace" Orlovich, age 90, (2014); a grandchild in infancy.
Born in Cherry, IL raised in Marseilles, IL, Mrs. Orlovich was a life-long resident of Joliet and member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. For years, she worked as an Office Manager at IBEW Local #176 and at Joliet Bar B Truck Stop, while keeping tenacious records at home much to the amusement and deep appreciation of her loved ones. She lived a long and stoic life filled with lasting friendships, generosity and craft. She was an avid collector, decorator and ceramic crafter who practiced the virtue of patience above all.
Mrs. Orlovich will be laid to rest with her husband at Lincoln National Cemetery. Services were held privately.
