Kathleen A. (Dinoffri) Setina

Kathleen A. Setina (nee Dinoffri), age 68, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 with her family by her side.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Robert Setina; daughter, Trisha (Matthew) Petrusich; grandchildren, Zander, Camden, Maizie, Turner Petrusich; siblings, Jack Dinoffria, James (Dino) Dinoffria, Colleen Dinoffri, and Brian Miles.

Preceded in death by her mother, Rosemary Miles; parents, Harry and Rose Dinoffri; and siblings, Harry Dinoffria, Timothy Tomlinson, and Maureen Cotton.

Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her husband Bob in their huge garden in the summers.  Tomatoes were her specialty.  One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her beloved grandchildren.  Every year, Kathleen and Bob would plan at least one family vacation with their daughter Trisha, son-in-law Matt, and the four grandchildren.  A last vacation together was made to Cedar Point in Ohio where everyone really enjoyed being together.  The family plans to take a trip to Myrtle Beach in the near future in Kathleen’s honor because that is where she wanted to go next with her family.  Kathleen took much pride in the fact that she had a daycare in her home for many, many years.  She chose this so that she was able to stay at home with Trisha while she was growing up.  When Trisha was grown, Kathleen decided to go into retail sales which she excelled at and very much enjoyed.

Kathleen was a very selfless person who will be missed by many.  She leaves behind many amazing memories for her family to share and many amazing traditions to be carried on forever.

A celebration of  Kathleen’s life will begin on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Joliet, IL.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tezak Funeral Home.
