Kathleen J. (Taylor) Krakar
January 26, 1951 — January 19, 2017
Kathleen J. Krakar (nee Taylor), age 65, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 with her loving husband by her side.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, David Krakar; three stepdaughters; Shelly (Lovell) Hatfield of Joliet, IL; Tracy (Thomas Johnson) Krakar of Joliet, IL; and Bethany (Mathew) Bruss of Wabash, IN; four loving grandchildren Timothy Hatfield, Terry Krakar, Jacob and Rebecca Bruss; caring brother Michael (Sarah) Taylor of Plainfield, IL.
Preceded in death by her parents; John and Joan Taylor, stepdaughter Terry Krakar and brother Timothy Taylor.
Kathleen was a graduate of Joliet West High school. She went on later to pursue her Bachelor’s of Arts degree at The College of St. Francis, graduating with honors. Kathleen worked for many VA Hospitals throughout her 16 year career. She managed three staffs and over 1000 volunteers, and collected one half million dollars in donations. Kathleen was an avid quilter, and loved knitting. She loved to work with clay and go antiquing. She was a “jack of all trades, and a master of them all.” She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Kathleen’s life will begin on Saturday February 4, 2017 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 15801 South Route 59 Plainfield, IL 60544. Per Kathleen’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no services at the funeral home.
