Kathleen A. Auman (nee Slaboszewski), age 74, passed lovingly into the arms of the Lord, on Monday, Mach 4, 2024 at Villa Franciscan Place.
Kathy was born and raised and lived her entire life in Joliet. She attended Holy Family Grade School, a member of the very first graduating class, and St. Francis Academy.
She held many jobs throughout her working years including, Wolfson’s Clothing Store in downtown Joliet, Farmers Insurance and Appliance Wiring Components.
Kathy lived every day of her life to serve her Lord and Savior. After this, most important to her were her husband, Mike Auman, her family, and her church, Ridgewood Baptist, along with her many friends. Kathy and Mike were long time members of Ridgewood Baptist, were very involved in their church, and cherished their lifelong friendships. She is at peace now, reunited with her husband Mike, and in heaven with her Lord and Savior.
In her younger years, she exhibited musical creativity through playing the piano and writing lyrics. Anyone who spoke with Kathy on the phone knew the last thing she would say before hanging up was, “I love you, be safe and praying for you always.” Kathy was a very caring and compassionate person who was loved so much, and will be missed so much by all who knew her. Her family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospital and Villa Franciscan Place, for their patients and kindness.
Kathy is survived by her sisters, Dyan (Kenny) St. Romain, Trish (Mike) Blacklock, Debbie (Ted) May; brother, Larry (Jackie) Kozak; nieces, Erica (Jeff) Jaunich, Heather (Tim) Kearns, Chelsea May, Sarah (Donnie) Ladas; nephew, Chris (Amy) Kozak; great-nieces, Kendall Kozak, Kylie Kozak, Darcie Ladas; great-nephews, Hunter Jaunich, Evan Jaunich, Cooper Kearns, Donnie Ladas; aunts, Laura (the late Frank) Burke and Jo (Bob) Hobbs; and many dear cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association or Ridgewood Baptist Church in Kathy’s name would be greatly appreciated.
