Karen R. Erickson

Karen R. Erickson, age 71, at rest on Sunday, September 5, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

Karen is survived by her children, Joel (Kathy) Ackeret, Jonathan Ackeret and Jenna (Dave) Schilke; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Isabella and Shauna Ackeret, Elin Ackeret, Madeline and Benjamin Schilke; siblings, Susan Pogvara, Lloyd Erickson and Sandra (Michael) Corrigan.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mable (nee Wiseman) Erickson.

Karen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She supported them with love and tireless work that will be cherished forever. She also loved the time she spent traveling with her friends and family throughout the years.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:00 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lockport for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following mass. Visitation will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
