Age 84, at rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, IL.
Survived by her husband, Jose P. Martinez; two sons, Jose Martinez and Juan (Dawn) Martinez; one stepdaughter, Maria Elena (Jesus) Ramirez; a stepson, George J. Nahas; and grandchildren, Elisabeth and Eli Martinez, all of Joliet.
Julie was born in Lebanon, coming to America in the early 1940's. She was employed at Silver Cross Hospital for 21 years. Julie spoke Arabic, English, French and Spanish. She was frequently called upon to act as a translator in the Emergency Department at the hospital.
There will be NO SERVICE at the funeral home. According to Julie's wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
Her cremains will be interred in the Church of La Virgin De La Soleda, Moroleon,Gto, Mexico.
