Julia F. Patrick

Julia F. Patrick (nee Matuszewski), age 94, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 11, 2014.
Julia is survived by her beloved children, Joseph D. (Jean) Synovic and Marlene (Terry) O'Reilly; loving grandchildren, Shelley Bennett, Julie Pozezinski, Michael Synovic, Jonathan Synovic, Sara Tadken, Erin Gerhart, Kelly Crist, and Sean O'Reilly; 22 cherished great grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Lorraine) and Michael (Rita) Matuszewski; sister-in-laws, Lucia Mateski and Bea Matuszewski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph J. Synovic and Andrew F. Patrick; parents, Nikolaj and Rose (nee Zembicka) Matuszewski; sisters, Mary (Joseph) and Anna (Stephan) Luzbetak, Catherine (John) Stefanski, Victoria (Michael) Nosse; brothers, John (Lucia) Mateski, George (Bea), Joseph (Rose), and Stanley (Jean) Matuszewski; and brother in infancy, Frank.
Julia was a life-long resident of Joliet. She attended Joliet Township High School and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #5788. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Seniors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Julia's name.
A Celebration of Julia's life will begin on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
