Judy A. Gunty

Judy Ann Gunty (nee Imrie), age 67, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Kurt Gunty; children, Timothy Romberg and Johanna (Moses) Padilla; stepsons, Christopher and Matthew Gunty; loving granddaughters, Jazmine Sanchez, Alycia Sanchez, and Tianna Romberg; sister, Mary Imrie; in-laws, Lorna Gunty, Terry (Sharon) Gunty, Mike Gunty, Bob (Sharon) Gunty, Mary (Tom) Pierson, Jeff (Mary) Gunty, Scott (Lori) Gunty, and Craig (Sharon) Gunty.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Betty (nee Williams) Imrie; and siblings, Danny Imrie, Barb Kucer, and Ralph Imre.

Judy loved spending time with her family. They were everything to her.  She enjoyed making jewelry, painting, singing karaoke, and playing games with family and friends. Judy also enjoyed cooking family recipes.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Salem Village for all their help with Judy’s physical rehabilitation.

A celebration of Judy’s life will begin on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with a memorial visitation to be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet. Inurnment to follow at Plainfield Township Cemetery in Plainfield, IL.
