Judith Partak

Judith (Claussen) "Judy" Partak, age 71 years, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015, after a courageous battle with COPD.

Survived by 3 sons, Dean, Gary and Chris (Jody) Partak; one sister, Jackie (late Marvin) Castelli; one brother, Terry (Judy) Claussen; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany (Brian) Viger and Jon Partak; one great-grandson, Jackson; 4 step-grandsons, Joshua, Nathan, Andrew and Zachary; and one brother-in-law, Harry McKeand of Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her very special friends, "the Yo-Yo's".

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Partak Jr.; her parents, John and Florence Claussen; her sister, Darlene McKeand; and one niece, Lisa (Castelli) Barrowman.

Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident, Judy and Frank married in 1962. She was a care-giver for her in-laws Frank and Rose until they passed away. Years went by when a cottage by the river was a place of many parties and good memories. She loved being with her family and friends and all people. She attended Joliet Public Schools and JTHS, graduating in 1961. Judy was a stay at home Mom for 10 years. She was employed by Dr. Donald Hughes, chiropractor, for 10 years and the Red Lobster in Joliet for 10 years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. from Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd., to St. Jude's Catholic Church in Joliet for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
