Judith J. (Hoffmann) Ferguson

Judith J. Ferguson (nee Hoffmann), age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 comforted by the love of her family.

Judith is survived by her three loving daughters, Dorann (Joseph Mcintosh) Hrusosky, Laura (Phillip) Braham, Jill (Steve Ryan) Ferguson; brother-in-law, Nick (the late Kay) Zigrossi; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends, Lucy Grzelak and Doug Wells; and granddogs, Sadie, Jack, Betsy and GiGi.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ferguson (1994); parents, Arthur and Dorothy (nee Doubleday) Hoffmann; sister, Kay Zigrossi.

Judith was employed by J&R Security Services for over 25 years. She was also employed by Joliet West High School as the office receptionist for the principal. Judith was a loving and generous person who dedicated her time to the community and also devoted her life to her family and children. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Gabby Mendoza and Judy Ristau as well as Dr. Zlatko Haveric, Dr. Daniel Garganera, Dr. Robert Tetik and Sue for the wonderful care provided to Judith.

A celebration of Judith’s life will begin on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 with a memorial visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:30 p.m. Per Judith’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
