Juan Ruiz, Jr. age 56 ,died on March 12, 2009 at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL.
Juan was born on October 26, 1952 in Kingsville, TX. He was a Veteran (Sergeant) in the Army for 12 years; Juan was a wonderful pastor for 14 years. He served as the Pastor of Christ Church of Victory in Joliet, IL.
Survived by his mother, Grace Ruiz, Park Forest, IL; two brothers, Henry Ruiz, Indiana, IL, Jerry Ruiz, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Norma Winer, Schererville, IN, Noelia Ruiz, Chicago Heights, IL; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends.
He was always smiling and laughing. He loved to play the guitar. He was a biker man and loved cars. His dream car was a candy apple red Corvette.
He put others before himself, he was very optimistic and a big dreamer.
He was currently married to his wife Maria for 21 beautiful years. He has five children, Juan V. III, Armando, John, Lisa and Ayla Ruiz; also raised step daughter, Stacy Snider-Ruiz
Visitation will be on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 2-6 p.m. A chapel service will begin at 6 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m. processing to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery for full Military Honors at 11:30 a.m.
