Passed away peacefully on May 29, 2007 with his loving family by his side.
Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lilia (nee Molina); devoted father of Eloisa (Emileo) Abeyta, Gloria (Albert) Barajas of Aurora, IL., Alicia (Jose Martinez) Nino, Anne (Jesse Pena) Camacho, Rene (Judy), Ruben (Claudia), Ricardo (Karen Carrero), Jose (Rosie) of Houston, TX., and Raul (Julie Baranski) Munoz; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; two sisters Rosa (Manuel) Ibarra of Plainview, TX., and Luisa (Lupe) Rangel of Fresno, CA. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his sons, Eulalio, Juan Jr. and Ernesto (in infancy); parents Eulalio and Dolores (nee Rios) Munoz; two brothers, Simon and Gabriel Munoz; four sisters, Sara Ruiz, Tules Grimaldo, Josefina Garcia and Flavia Solis; and granddaughter, Melissa Camacho (in infancy).
Decorated World War II Solider-who served under General Omar Bradley while stationed in Italy. Member of the Latin America Club in Aurora, IL. Retired from Crowther and Adler Roofing Company; proprietor of Mexico Lindo Cantina after 20+ years of service.

From where services will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:30 AM to Mount Carmel at 205 E. Jackson St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full Military Honors. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-9 PM.
