Juan Jose Montoya, age 89, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Joliet, IL, surrounded by his loving family.
Juan enjoyed bowling on Fridays with family and friends for many years, cherishing the time spent with those he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Lou; children, Sylvia (Henry) Rangel, John, Linda (David Salazar), and Jesse; grandchildren, Thomas (Erika), Stephanie (Jeff), Jennifer, Johnny (Monica), Daniel (Marissa), Ricky (Michelle), Alex (Morgan), and Marissa; and many great-grandchildren, including Johnny IV, Benjamin, Julius, Mila, Laila, Kai, Aubree, Jett, Bostyn, and Berkeley.
Juan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his kind, gentle nature. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Juan's life was a testament to his hard work, resilience, and the joy he found in being surrounded by his loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church, 706 N Broadway St, Joliet, IL. with entombment tofollow Woodlawn Memorial Park, 23060 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL.
Juan is survived by his beloved family, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
