Juan Jose Aguilar

Aged 64. Born September 5, 1956; passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

Preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Aguilar and Vicenta (nee Santillana) Trevizo; his sister, Nellie Briones; and brother, Pedro Aguilar.

Survived by his wife, Karen (nee Kunke); his children, Carisa, Juan (Amber), and Michelle (Rusty) Caldwell; grandchildren, Steven, Eva, and Andrew Lovell, Isaiah, Irie, Jordyn, Aubrie, Aviyah, Mayah, and Josiah Aguilar, and Mason and Logan Caldwell. He is also survived by his siblings, Herminia (Hector) Gonzalez, Raul (Bea) Ramirez, David (late Carolyn) Trevizo, Josephine (late Ralph) Figueroa, and Beatrice (Javier) Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Juan was born in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1974, and earned an Associate Degree at Joliet Junior College. He worked for the City of Joliet, Commonwealth Edison and Dominion Energy. He also owned many businesses over the years including Quality Home Exterior Restoration Services and A Storage Place.

Juan loved spending time with his family and friends, and was the life of every party. He was a Cubs fan and was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and bicycles, snow skiing, and boating. Juan loved to travel and spend time at his lake house. He had many friends across the country and around the world. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic no more than 25 guests will be allowed into the building at one time. Face masks are required. On Saturday please feel free to call (815)-722-0524 to receive information about approximate wait times. A private funeral service will be live streamed on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and service.
