Josephine M. Vranesic

Josephine M. Vranesic (Solloway) (Nee Kozan) formerly of Willowick, OH, age 85, at rest on Saturday, April 18, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Josephine is survived by her loving children, Margaret (John) Calderone, Michael, Robert (Angie), and Donald (Dawna) Solloway; cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Steven, Peter, and Joseph Solloway; dear sister, Margaret (Charles) Bokar; loving cousins, MaryAnn (Ron) Tatro, Anthony Babich, and Rudolph (Alice) Kozan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her first husband, George Solloway; second husband, Bernard Vranesic; parents, Peter and Anna (nee Shelko) Kozan; and her "good buddy" Jean Szuplak.

Josephine was a longtime parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic church in Joliet. She was a member of KSKJ, Slovenian Union of America, St. Genevieve Lodge #108, and St. Joseph Senior Parishioners. Josephine enjoyed singing, dancing (especially to polka music), and traveling. Her main joy in life was being with her family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Visiting Angels of Plainfield, the Doctors and Nurses at Edward Hospital and Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care for the extraordinary care provided.

A Celebration of Josephine's life will begin on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:20 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
