Josephine F. Libersher, 92, of Joliet, IL, passed away at Countryside Care Center in Aurora, IL on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.
Josephine was born on January 14, 1920, to Vincenzo and Josephine Gelsomino in Pontiac, IL. She married Albert Libersher of Joliet on April 16, 1939. Josephine was employed by Goldblatt Brothers and she was manager of the Lamp, China, and Silverware department in Joliet. She also loved ball room dancing where she and her friends would dance away at Willowbrook, Slovenian Home, and anywhere else there was dancing.
Josephine is survived by her daughter Anna Mae (Ron) Brown Wigton; one sister Mary (James) Hancock, two brothers Vincent (Nina) Gelsomino and Johnny (Marie) Gelsomino. She is also survived by five grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, son Joseph, son-in-law Thomas P. Brown, brothers Joseph and Tony and sister Francis.
A Celebration of JosephineA�??s life will begin on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Anne Church, Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
