Josephine M. Clapp “Nana” (nee Chauko), Passed away peacefully at Rosewood Care Center on Saturday, May 28, 2016.
Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Joy (Vern Warner) Hibner and Georgine (Terry) McCarthy; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Clapp (1965); parents, George and Josephine Chauko; 12 brothers and sisters.
Josephine was a lifelong resident of Joliet. Nana was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Josephine’s life will begin on Thursday, June 2, 2016 with a visitation at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Stephen Eickhoff officiating. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
