Joseph W. Sterle Age 83, at rest Sunday, December 25, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Survived by his brother, John (Lorraine) Sterle; two nieces, Pam Sterle and Debbie (Glenn) Larson; two nephews, Michael (Judi) and Dan (Beline) Boyle. Also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. Born in Auburn, IL. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna (Leshovisek) Sterle; and a sister, MaryAnn Boyle. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army World War II, formerly owned and operated J. & M. Food Mart with his sister, MaryAnn in Rockdale. He was a member of KSKJ St. Francis Desales #29, SNPJ 115, Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church, Rockdale and the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church, Joliet, lifetime member of Dale A.C., Old timers Baseball Association, American Legion Post 1080, Stone City Post 1299, SOARS, St. Joseph Senior Parishioners, Slovenian Women's Union #20, (Grape Fest Mayor in 1986), former member of the American Slovenian Home. (He was also a member and the god father of the committee that organized the Slovenian Fest in Auburn, IL.) In lieu of flowers Mass's and memorial will be appreciated.
