Joseph E. Pruss
Age 80, at rest on Friday, May 29, 2009 following a lingering illness at Joliet Area Community Hospice, with his family by his side. Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. Lifelong resident of the Joliet area. Survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Mildred (nee Gecan); loving father of Ronald E. (Donna) Pruss, Anita (Robert) Baranski (Joliet, IL.) and Joseph C. Pruss (fiancA�?A�AC.e Marlene Smith) (Glendale, AZ); grandfather of Julie A. (Raul) (nee Baranski/Montogomery) Munoz, Kurt D. Montgomery and Ronald E. (Sherese) Pruss Jr.; great-grandfather of James C. Baranski and Brandon L. Baranski; brother of Lucille Welz and Marlene (Philip) Maicke; brother-in-law Cele (Joseph) Wolf and Charlotte Brown. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Cecilia (nee Bajt) Pruss. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Joseph"s family for distribution to his favorite charities.
The family of Joseph E. Pruss invites relatives and friends to join them for a visitation at the funeral home on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 2-5 PM. A Chapel Service will be held at 5 PM. Private family interment services will be held at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
