Joseph J. Pasich, age 82, at rest on Sunday, March 27, 2011. Lifelong Joliet resident born on March 4, 1929.
Preceded in death by his parents Marko and Theresa (nee Nemanich) Pasich. Survived by his sisters Helen (Glenn) Minnick and Patricia (Richard) Butterbach, nephew Dr. Daniel (Cheryl) Butterbach; nieces Jody Butterbach and Jill (Larry) Ryan; his precious great nieces and nephews Mia, Elise, and Eva Butterbach and Frank, Jack and Molly Ryan. Also survived by his cousins, friends and good neighbors, especially Marty Furdek.
Joseph worked at Ruberoid (GAF) for 37 years. He then worked 13 years at First Midwest Bank, downtown Joliet, as a parking lot attendant. Joseph was in the U.S. Army and served his country for 3 years mostly in Germany. He remained an avid White Sox fan throughout his life. He was a member of St. Joseph"s Seniors, American Legion Post 1080, KSKJ Lodge 29 and a lifelong member of St. Joseph"s Church, Joliet. Joe loved his summers at St. Joseph Park every Sunday listening to Polka music and meeting with his relatives and friends. He also enjoyed watching his great nephews Frank and Jack play Little League baseball at St. Joseph Park.
Donations to honor Joe"s memory may be made to St. Joseph Church, Joliet. A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am on Wednesday, March 30 at St. Joseph Church, Joliet. Inurnment St. Joseph Cemetery.
