Joseph A Nieves

Joseph Nieves, 66, of Rockdale, IL sadly passed away on June 1st, 2022 after a battle with liver disease.

Joseph was born to Louis and Marie Nieves on April 13, 1956.

After attending Angel Guardian Orphanage, Mr. Nieves went on to work for the phone company and retired after 32 years.

His family will remember him as the number one Cubs fan. He was the type of person who could make you laugh at any time. He valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man’s word.

To his children, he was loving but fair. He made sure to instill his values on them as well as the importance of their education.

Joseph loved his Chicago sports. He also shared his love of food with his children and grandchildren. Whether it was Chicago style pizza, breakfast tacos, or cheese manicotti, Joseph always looked forward to eating with the ones he loved.

Mr. Nieves is survived by his children, Katrina (Christopher) Summers, Joe (Robyn) Nieves, and Jaclyn (Jeremy) Grajewski; and the mother of his children, Karen Nieves. Devoted grandpa of Isabella, Chloe, Christian, Charlotte, Addison, & Gabriella. Also surviving is his girlfriend of 10 years, Carolyn Hoover.
