Joseph Maciasz, age 75, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maria (nee Bochnak) Maciasz; children, Joseph Maciasz, Beata (Ralph) Kiljan; grandchildren, Sonia Kulawiak, Priscilla Kulawiak, Tribecca Kulawiak, Aisha Kiljan and Brandon Kiljan; brother, Edward (Nina) Maciasz; sisters, Vickie Nowak, Anna (Gus) Kozarzewski, Stephanie (the late Bruce) Ventura and Kristine Maciasz; and sisters-in-law, Alice Maciasz and Anna (Frank) Kopec and children; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Elizabeth; brother, Casey Maciasz; and brother-in-law, Bruce Ventura.
Joseph was born in Poland and came to Chicago in 1961. He was a proud business owner and worked as a mechanic on the Railroad as well. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Joseph’s life will begin on Friday, December 9, 2016 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. then driving in procession to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
