Age 63 of Joliet passed away on October 1, 2007 at the Joliet
Terrace, where he had been a resident for the past 28 years.
Joseph was born on March 31, 1944 in Joliet to Albert and Josephine (nee Gelsomino) Libersher. He attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School in 1962.
Joseph was an Aeronautical Engineer at McDonnel-Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri for three years.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Josephine (nee Gelsomino) Libersher of Crest Hill; and a sister, Anna Mae (Tim) Brown of Yorkville, IL. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Fred (Tina) Brown, Cathy (Frank) Scalise of Montgomery, Bob Brown of Lake Geneva, WI, Lauri (Jay) Young of Yorkville, and Sherri (Dan) Spiker of Yorkville. He is also survived by 21 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Albert, in 1969; brother-in-law, Tim, in 2004; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna Libersher; and his maternal grandparents, Vincinzo and Josephine Gelsomino.
The Family would like to thank the Staff at the Joliet Terrace especially Joyce and would like to thank the Joliet Area Community Hospice for all of their help and care.
From where services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 9:00 AM to St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 PM.
