Joseph M. Jenco age 71 of St. Petersburg Fl., passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Largo Medical Center from cancer.

Survived by his wife of 46 years Barbara; a son Doug (Lori) of Elwood; two daughters Debbie Jenco of Custer Park and Jodi Lynn Jenco of St. Petersburg, Florida; Danah Hasik for whom he considered a daughter; a brother Richard; and two sisters Betty Blair and Mary Susan Franceschini; all of Joliet and six grandchildren: Mallory Jenco, Tyler Jenco, Joey Jenco, Christopher Rocha, Carl Walls Jr. and Sarah Gray; and many nieces and nephews for whom he adored.

He is preceded in death by his father John, his mother Henrietta; brother John, brother Rev. Lawrence Martin Jenco; and sister Verna Mae Mihelich.

He moved to St. Petersburg in 1995 from his native Joliet, IL., where he was a maintenance mechanic for the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant. A veteran of the Marine Corp., he was a member of the American Legion Post #125, St. Petersburg. He was an avid golfer and eucher player. He was a Catholic. While in Joliet, he was an active member of the Republican Party for which he ran for many offices. He was a member of the Ingalls Park A.C.

Services will be held here at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM with a chapel service at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2007. Father Richard Ross will be officiating.

Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
