Age 89, at rest Monday December 22, 2008 at the Joliet Hospice Home.

Loving father of Catherine (David) Wear; dearest grandfather of Allison Wear; one sister, Pauline (late James) Padilla; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by his much loved wife, Celia (nee Gutierrez) Jaso; parents, Manuel and Caterina (nee Padilla) Jaso; two sisters, Mary Fonseca and Jennie Keltz; two brothers, Lino and Jesse Jaso.

Joseph was born in Lockhart, TX, resided in Joliet most of his lifetime. He retired from Prairie State Paper Mill/IVEX, and was a proud and decorated U.S Army Veteran in the Medical Corp. serving in North Africa and Italy during WW II, was a member of the Cantigny Post VFW #367 and the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers donations to the AMVETS or Joliet Hospice Home in his name.

Prayer services will be held on Monday, at the funeral home at 9:30, then to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Irving St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:am.

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Visitation will be Sunday, from 2 to 5:00 PM.
