Joseph A. Hrubos, age 85, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Lorraine (nee Sefcik); loving daughter, Mary Jane (William) Worek. He was the proud grandfather of two boys, Christopher and Michael Worek; uncle and guardian to Anthony Panella; dear brother-in-law to Isabel (George) Sefcik Voitik. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Palovcak) Hrubos; sisters, Madeline Hrubos, Dorothy (Stephen) Paucak, and Agnes (Frank) Renchof; brothers, Richard (Rosemary) and Michael (Betty) Hrubos.
Joseph was a proud United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Commonwealth Edison for 35 years. After his retirement he enjoyed gathering with friends and coworkers on Wednesday mornings for coffee. Joseph was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing for muskie. He played football during his younger years and was a devoted Bears fan.
The family wishes to thank those at Presence Villa Franciscan and Joliet Area Community Hospice for all of their loving care and understanding.

A Celebration of Joseph’s life will begin on Monday, October 17, 2016 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:20 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435 then driving in procession to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Romeoville.
