Joseph G. Nurczyk
October 11, 1958 — June 13, 2017
Joseph G. Nurczyk, age 58, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Joe is survived by his beloved fiancée, Vicki Kaminskas; two children; sister, Barb (Jake) Jacobs; nephews, Jeff and Doug; Aunt Geri Nurczyk; Kristin and Joe Kaminskas Jr.; as well as numerous cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Frances Nurczyk.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Joliet. He was employed by the Iron Workers Union Local 444. Joe later went on to retire from ComEd/Midwest Generation where he dedicated 37 years of his life. Joe was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing baseball as well as watching it. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Joe will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Joe’s life will begin on Saturday, June 17, 2017 with a visitation from 3:00 p.m. until the time of chapel service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
