Joseph E. Errek

Joseph E. Errek “Joe”, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Loyola Medical Center.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel (nee Likar) Errek; children, Michelle Errek and Tim (Cicerenna) Errek; granddaughter, Brittany (Nick) Martin; great-grandchildren, Lainy and Livle Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his son, Joseph L. Errek; parents, Henry and Susan Errek; siblings, Henry Errek and Rosemary Scully.

Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1957 to 1959. He later went on to work for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for a dedicated 35 years, retiring in January of 1992.  Joe was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing to Alaska and Canada. He loved to travel to different parts of Mexico as well as Las Vegas. Joe also enjoyed taking bus trips with Rachel to local casinos. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Joe’s life will begin on Friday, November 10, 2017 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Joliet, IL at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet, IL. Per Joe’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

There will be no services held at the funeral home.
